This boy has my heart...

This boy has me wrapped around his finger. I will do nearly anything to not have him cry. He is a tad bit spoiled by his mama. But how can I help it? I mean LOOK AT THIS FACE!!

I tell this to people all the time- Ryder is the cutest, hardest child. He has been my most challenging as far as just exhausting for me. Matt says Ashton was harder, and maybe he was, but now I have three other children and am 10 years older!  He is a MOMMA'S BOY and is quite clingy and can be very whiny, and down right grumpy if he is not getting his way. But he is also the sweetest, snuggliest little guy and one hug or kiss from him and all is well in my world. Nothing gives me greater joy then snuggling with him in the mornings and reading him books before bed and him running to give me tight squeezes throughout the day.

I am sure BLESSED to be the mom of this PRECIOUS boy.

Things I LOVE about this 20 months old...

How he backs up into my lap when he wants to sit with me or read a book,
How he shakes his head yes very dramatically and big. He also shrugs shoulders in a big, expressive way and brings his shoulders up and arms in when he gets embarrassed or scared, like he's trying to hide.
I find it amusing how me completely melts down if he hears the word no. He is a very sensitive and emotional guy! He can also get very angry if someone takes something form him. He has been known to bite, pinch, scratch, hit and punch (and he actually has amazing punching form.)
I think his obsession with motorcycles is adorable! He calls them "vroom vroom" and gets excited anytime we see one on the road or parked in the parking lot. He even checks for them every time we go to the gym and asks dad to take him on rides all the time.
Not sure I love how much he is OBSESSED with bottles. Sometimes he says "Bottle" about 100 times a day! I usually try to stick to one before nap time and one before bed, but like I said... he is spoiled and usually gets his way (much to Matt's dismay). I know this is not the best parenting!
If he says "bottle" and I say "you want a bottle?" he automatically thinks that means he is getting one and says "yea" and does his big expressive head nod... and then when you begin pouring the milk he gives a little triumphant laugh and happy dance.
I am obsessed with his chubby yet solid little body! It is the cutest thing ever! He is very coordinated and athletic for such a little man. He is an excellent thrower and can scoot on the scooter and ride his strider bike better than a lot of four year olds. He does a cute little athletic shuffle and can move his chubby little legs so fast when he is running!
I love that he says hi and bye to everything- living or not. Be it person, plant, animal, or vehicle, or even books and toys when it is time to go to bed. He says hi and bye to everyone that walks by our house.
I Love his animalistic growl
Love his low raspy voice saying "mom, dad, bottle, cat, dog, hi, bye, i wan dat, mine, outside, ball, choo choo, where da da? where ma ma?." I will ask him where something is and he will raise his shoulders and say "I dunno"
I love all his facial expressions- especially his surprised one and his angry one... and of course his happy one!
I love how he kisses pictures of daddy and Jesus before he goes to bed.
He loves to read books- hop on pop, goodnight moon, i know an old lady, five little monkeys.
I love how much he loves his siblings. He had a rough couple weeks when the kids started school. In fact he would get a backpack and fill it with toys and try to go with them!  He loves all the kids but seems to have a special bond with Mazzi. He will grab her hand and lead her to the room to play with him.
He also loves his buddies Crew, Cole and Kyler.
He loves to shave with his Daddy and help in the garage
Anything he likes to do or wants to do he will hold one finger up right by his face and say "one mroe time?"  And he will ask "one more time" fifty times in a row if you let him keep going!

My life is so blessed with this little man in my life. Can't imagine life without Ryder James!
