Talented Tera

Tera LOVES preforming in front of an audience. She hula hooped last year for the school talent show and this year decided she wanted to jump rope with her friend Grace. They were pretty adorable jump roping to Justin Bieber and ending in the splits. She memorized several of the other performances from the night and has been incorporating them into a dance number she intends to preform next year. Love my talented little Tera!

Mazzi's pre-preschool graduation :)

Mazzi graduated from Mommy and me Joy school.
We had a great year with friends and she loved doing the circle time where we got to sing and read books. This girl is going to love preschool next year!

The Butterfly...

In Ashton's class they learned about the life cycle of a butterfly. They were able to get caterpillar larvae, watch them hatch and then turn into their cocoons and finally turn into a beautiful butterfly. They were able to take home the butterfly on open house night to set them free. Ashton and Mazzi loved watching it fly into the sky....

It was a great experience, except for the fact that I didn't consider the fact that Tera wasn't home and would cry once she realized she wasn't able to see the butterfly set free. I felt so bad that I spent $25.00 ordering our own butterfly garden so that she could experience the whole thing. Unfortunately 3 of the 5 caterpillars died before we got them out of the mail box. Then, we brought them with us to Redding while we are were on a trip and they dropped from the Tupperware and were no longer hanging, so after a week we assumed they were dead. We left their cage at Nanas when we went home.  Then, the day after we got home we got a call from Nana saying the chrysalis had turned into a butterfly. So, Nana let the butterflies go, and Tera once again missed out :( But Nana sent us pictures. Hopefully Tera can wait another year to do it in second grade!

Mothers Day visit

For Mothers Day this year my Mom, sister Sierra, and sister-in-law Sandra all came down for a visit. It was so nice having them here, even if I was feeling sick during most of their visit. We kept it low key and mostly just hung around the house and visited. It was so nice seeing my adorable niece and nephew. Tera especially loved her cousins!
