My kids always make me laugh with the things they say...

Mazzi "oppsy daisy. That's spanish"

Ashton, why are you so lazy?
"Because it is fun mom. You should try it sometime! The only bad thing is sometimes you get slapped!"

Tera was asking us the other day who we love the most and Matt said he loves all of us the same but in a different way. Tera said " Oh, like you love mom in the kissy, kissy way!"

Mom: "Goodnight Mazzi, I love you."
Mazzi: "And Jesus loves me too?"
Mom: "Yes"

Mom: "Were going to deposit checks"
Tera: "Where are we going?"
Ashton: "Use the context clues. Were going to deposit checks means were going to the bank."

Ryder hits Mazzi, to which she says, "He's very mean!"
Mom: "He's just a baby."
Mazzi: "He's not a baby... he's a kid now!"
He then gives her lots of kisses to say sorry,

An interesting conversation with Ashton regarding a new game he plays on the phone "Hay Day"
He told me how when you want bacon form the pigs you just squeeze them until their fat turns into bacon. He also talked about how weird he thought vegans were because not only would they not eat meat, but they wouldn't eat any animal products. He thought it was wired because none of the animals are harmed in just collecting eggs and milk. I said some people do it for health reasons and some do it because they don't like how the animals are treated. He explained that on the game hay day it showed the animals roaming around with smiles on their faces so he didn't buy it that the animals weren't treated well because he said they were truly happy in the game.

When Mazzi complained that Tera wasn't helping her make the bed Tera said "welcome to my world," to which Mazzi replied, very seriously, "this isn't your world, it's Jesus world!"

When watching the women's broadcast Tera asked "do all guys have to go on missions?" I said "no, only good members of the church who chose to can go." She said, "yea, cuz bad guys would just say, "I'm gonna preach the gospel. Even though I don't even know if it's true." in a grumpy monster voice.

Ashton was spraying for ants out side the house and Tera said, "what a man."

Mazzi sees a girl riding a bike down the road and the bike ia the same as hers. The girls riding in the road so she asks "Can i ride in the road too?" I tell her no. Then she asks, "Can she be my best friend?" She thinks everyone is her best friend. It is adorable!

Mazzi has learned all these songs in kindergarten spelling all the different colors for easy remembering. She was singing one about white. She lists things that are white. W-H-I-T-E.... ghosts are white and they say boo, milk is white and so are you. (Turns out this isn't how the song was supposed to go....) Ashton says "isn't that racist?" To which I say, "Yes, it kind of is." I am surprised they sing that in school because not everyones white.  Ashton says, "Well maybe they have one that says "poop is brown and so are you." Oh no dear! That would definitely be racist!

This boy has my heart...

This boy has me wrapped around his finger. I will do nearly anything to not have him cry. He is a tad bit spoiled by his mama. But how can I help it? I mean LOOK AT THIS FACE!!

I tell this to people all the time- Ryder is the cutest, hardest child. He has been my most challenging as far as just exhausting for me. Matt says Ashton was harder, and maybe he was, but now I have three other children and am 10 years older!  He is a MOMMA'S BOY and is quite clingy and can be very whiny, and down right grumpy if he is not getting his way. But he is also the sweetest, snuggliest little guy and one hug or kiss from him and all is well in my world. Nothing gives me greater joy then snuggling with him in the mornings and reading him books before bed and him running to give me tight squeezes throughout the day.

I am sure BLESSED to be the mom of this PRECIOUS boy.

Things I LOVE about this 20 months old...

How he backs up into my lap when he wants to sit with me or read a book,
How he shakes his head yes very dramatically and big. He also shrugs shoulders in a big, expressive way and brings his shoulders up and arms in when he gets embarrassed or scared, like he's trying to hide.
I find it amusing how me completely melts down if he hears the word no. He is a very sensitive and emotional guy! He can also get very angry if someone takes something form him. He has been known to bite, pinch, scratch, hit and punch (and he actually has amazing punching form.)
I think his obsession with motorcycles is adorable! He calls them "vroom vroom" and gets excited anytime we see one on the road or parked in the parking lot. He even checks for them every time we go to the gym and asks dad to take him on rides all the time.
Not sure I love how much he is OBSESSED with bottles. Sometimes he says "Bottle" about 100 times a day! I usually try to stick to one before nap time and one before bed, but like I said... he is spoiled and usually gets his way (much to Matt's dismay). I know this is not the best parenting!
If he says "bottle" and I say "you want a bottle?" he automatically thinks that means he is getting one and says "yea" and does his big expressive head nod... and then when you begin pouring the milk he gives a little triumphant laugh and happy dance.
I am obsessed with his chubby yet solid little body! It is the cutest thing ever! He is very coordinated and athletic for such a little man. He is an excellent thrower and can scoot on the scooter and ride his strider bike better than a lot of four year olds. He does a cute little athletic shuffle and can move his chubby little legs so fast when he is running!
I love that he says hi and bye to everything- living or not. Be it person, plant, animal, or vehicle, or even books and toys when it is time to go to bed. He says hi and bye to everyone that walks by our house.
I Love his animalistic growl
Love his low raspy voice saying "mom, dad, bottle, cat, dog, hi, bye, i wan dat, mine, outside, ball, choo choo, where da da? where ma ma?." I will ask him where something is and he will raise his shoulders and say "I dunno"
I love all his facial expressions- especially his surprised one and his angry one... and of course his happy one!
I love how he kisses pictures of daddy and Jesus before he goes to bed.
He loves to read books- hop on pop, goodnight moon, i know an old lady, five little monkeys.
I love how much he loves his siblings. He had a rough couple weeks when the kids started school. In fact he would get a backpack and fill it with toys and try to go with them!  He loves all the kids but seems to have a special bond with Mazzi. He will grab her hand and lead her to the room to play with him.
He also loves his buddies Crew, Cole and Kyler.
He loves to shave with his Daddy and help in the garage
Anything he likes to do or wants to do he will hold one finger up right by his face and say "one mroe time?"  And he will ask "one more time" fifty times in a row if you let him keep going!

My life is so blessed with this little man in my life. Can't imagine life without Ryder James!

Ashton is 11!

Ashton's 11 birthday- Minecraft style! The boys had fun with an outdoor movie, video games inside and yummy food. Ashton planned out a spicy treat table where you could test what level of heat you could take! We also made mini burgers and had ice cream pie. He made minecraft chocolate party favors and they had matching shirts for their main party favor. So proud of this thoughtful, creative child of mine!

Ryder is 2!

Ryder is obsessed with all things motorcycle so we had a motorcycle party for him up at the park. He had such a fun time and loved all the attention and presents. So blessed to have this little cutie in our life! He brings excitement and adventure to every day!

Brown belt

Ashton moved up to his brown belt! I was so proud of him. He worked hard to memorize his form and he broke the board so easily. He is a strong boy!
