We had so much fun celebrating the near arrival of Megan and Robs baby boy, Isaac. It was such a fun, unconventional baby shower... which is great because I think I have been to way too many baby showers!

Overnight beach Trip
We went to Balboa Beach with our good friends the Hannons. Afterwards we ate at Cafe Rio and stayed at a hotel up in Costa Mesa. The kids had so much fun swimming in the pool. It is always fun for them to stay in a hotel. The following day we did the beach again followed by the Balboa Fun Zone. We had a great time! The beach is my happy place :)
Kernzie and Tera caught several sand crabs
I have wanted to go on one of these "bikes" for a while with the family. Turns out it looks a lot more than it is! It was quite expensive to rent and was a lot of work pedaling all that weight around. (The kids couldn't really reach the pedals to contribute to peddling) Oh well- we checked it off our (my) bucket list!
The girls got these best friend necklaces at the fun zone arcade.
Lake Gregory
We had a great time at Lake Gregory with the McDowells. It is such a pretty, relaxing place. The kids enjoyed the paddle boards, the water slide going into the lake and making sandcastles. I enjoyed relaxing on the paddle board for a bit, watching the kids play and just enjoying the beautiful scenery of trees and mountains.
God "Blessed" the US
We had a great fourth of July! We had fun at the ward bicycle parade. The kids decorated their bikes awfully cute and wrote cute sayings on them. Tera wrote "God blessed the USA." After the bike parade we went to Farrell's ice cream parlor for lunch. The kids thought it was the coolest place ever! That evening we had a bbq and watched watched fireworks over the lake from our community pool. They were far away, but it was worth it not having to deal with any of the traffic and hustle and bustle of getting close up.So grateful for the freedoms we enjoy in this beautiful country. GOD BLESS THE USA!

Hot n' Sweaty Camping!
We went camping in Temecula this year. We decided to go somewhere close after our 7 hour drive to go camping in the sequoias last year! It was a nice little spot with a cute little lake for the kids to cool off in. (And we needed cooling off! It was 100 degrees!)
